Meditation

Aleena is a YTT Yoga Nidra meditation guide. Yoga Nidra is also known as sleep yoga, and it is both a state of mind and a practice. The meditator is guided down through the different brainwave states using a progressive relaxation technique, invoking the same process that one undergoes as one falls asleep. By relaxing the thinking mind, the meditator is able to access and reprogram the subconscious mind. You could also think of this type of meditation as a reset for your nervous system: closing down all of the programs of the mind and rebooting the whole system. Yoga nidra is also a state of being where the mind is awake and the body is asleep. This practice also enables us to access the deep healing state that is normally only available during deep, dreamless sleep.
